Start a chapter
in your city.

Every Human Unity chapter started with one person who looked at their community and decided it was worth building. We provide the framework, the templates, and the network. You provide the decision to start.

What you're getting into

Starting a chapter is not complicated. But it is real work. Before you commit, here is an honest picture of what it involves — and what it does not.

What it involves

✓ 4–8 hours per month of your time

✓ Identifying a specific local project

✓ Recruiting 5–10 people to start

✓ Running monthly gatherings

✓ Staying in contact with the network

What it does not involve

✗ A large budget

✗ Political organizing

✗ Ideological alignment tests

✗ Formal nonprofit structure

✗ Doing it alone

The five steps to launching

01

Identify your first project

Don't start with a vision. Start with a problem. One specific, local, solvable problem that people in your community will immediately recognize as real. The project is the magnet — it draws the right people.

02

Find your first five people

Not a mass recruitment campaign — five people you trust who also recognize the problem. Your first gathering is just those five people in a room. You are looking for commitment, not enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is cheap.

03

Run your first gathering

A 90-minute structured session: the problem, the project, who does what, and when you meet again. Keep it tight. End with a specific next action for everyone in the room. The first gathering sets the culture.

04

Register with the Human Unity network

Once you have had your first gathering, register your chapter. You will get access to the resource library, the cross-chapter network, mentorship from experienced chapter leads, and official network support.

05

Complete your first project

Ship something. Anything visible, real, and local. A clean park. A skill exchange. A resource library. A community dinner. The first completed project is your credibility — it signals to your community that this is real and worth joining.

The chapter that ships something small and real is infinitely more powerful than the chapter with a perfect plan and no action.
